Jon Lord made an appearance on the 70's TV show, "The Dating Game". Lord was also the first member to be considered the leader of Deep Purple. Tommy Bolin died of an overdose in a Miami hotel room after playing a sellout solo concert. Bolin's last song performed was "Post Toastee". Joe Satriani had a quick run with the band in the 90's filling in till they found their replacement in Steve Morse. Ian Paice has logged the most hours with Deep Purple followed by Roger Glover and then Ian Gillan.
