Deep Purple has revealed the cover art and track list for their upcoming studio album, NOW What?!, which is scheduled to hit U.S. stores on April 30. Boasting purple lettering on a white background, the cover features a prominent question mark and exclamation point, the band's name stylized to include those punctuation marks -- Deep ?urp!e -- and the album's title in smaller lettering. Song titles include "Weirdistan," "Blood from a Stone" and "Vincent Price."
The record, which was produced by veteran studio whiz Bob Ezrin, will be issued in a variety of formats. These include a standard 11-track CD, a double-disc vinyl set and a deluxe edition containing a bonus tune and a DVD featuring the group's members talking about the making of the album.
As previously reported, prior to the release of NOW What?!, Deep Purple will issue two new tunes -- "Hell to Pay" and "All the Time in the World" -- on March 29 as part of a double A-side single that will be available as a digital download and multiple physical formats. In addition, an official lyrics video for "All the Time in the World" recently debuted online.
Deep Purple will soon be announcing plans for a full world tour in support of NOW What?! The band currently has a series of fall shows lined up in the U.K., Germany and the Netherlands. The German concerts will feature Peter Frampton as the opening act.
